Hi! Been looking around your blog and enjoying myself! I like your embroideries. A question: have you looked over “Sublime Stitching” embroidery patterns? You might especially enjoy “Spaced Out”. Robots, “a raygun totin’ rocket girl and atomic doodads”. Jenny Hart is the owner.
I found you on youtube. I was looking for a foundation piecing tutorial. Your tutorial was great and I wanted to see what else you might have. And I’ve been having a blast. I love “Adventure Time” and I plan to make the Jake pillow. I couldn’t get the Finn pattern. Jake was Adobe (worked great) and Finn was something else (no go). If it’s something that can’t be changed that’s cool. If it’s something many people have problem printing from, and maybe it can be fixed.
Or maybe it’s just me (ha ha!).
Have a good day and good job!
Your work is beautiful and inspirational! I’m enjoying your YouTube tutorial videos as well as your blog, as I am a totally novice when it comes to embroidery. What kind of fabric would you recommend using for a beginner?
Thank you!! I’m so glad you enjoy watching my tutorials!
The best fabric for beginner to use in anything (embroidery, patchwork, dressmaking etc.) would be 100% Cotton.
Make sure to keep in touch so I know how you go with your own embroidery! 😊
Thank you very much! When I’m completing an embroidery I like to use DMC threads/floss and use a sharp embroidery needle, usually size no. 7. Happy Stitching!! 😊
wow! do you use templates or stencils at all? or is this all freehand?

Yes, I do use templates! My favourite place to find patterns is at urbanthreads.com 🙂
